A HUGE thank you to our guide Zach for making our half-day trip unforgettable and exciting for our group, but more importantly, for my husband who has a disability.
Before making reservations, I called AAE on two different occasions to let them know about my husband’s disability (spinal injury) and was assured both times he would be safe and taken care of. Because of my husband’s disability, I genuinely believed AAE decided to put us with the most knowledgeable and experienced guide, Zach.
During our trip, there were a few times Zach had to lift my husband from under his arms to readjust him in his seat to make sure he was comfortable and safe. He even steered the raft to the riverbank and crafted a handle from a rope for my husband to have something to grip onto. It worked beautifully!

An incredible experience. This was the first time my wife and I have ever went white water rafting. Chad was our guide and was AMAZING. From start to finish he led us in the right direction from choosing the best equipment to wear for the day to preparing us for safety and execution. As a manager and coach I really appreciated how well Chad delivered clear directions and expectations. Prior to launch he said he was going to “Belichick Us” and he certainly did. He quickly evaluated how we would respond to his direction and how that would translate into execution. He navigated us through the rapids with Perfection. I’ve done a lot of adventures and this one may have been my favorite, especially do to the coaching and personal touch Chad put on the half day adventure. We ran Brown Canyon run and can’t wait to return in June and do a full day run at this part of the Arkansas River. Thanks again to Chad for an outstanding adventure. – via
