I joined in with zero diving experience and I always wanted to explore the ocean. Argonaut diving’s Open Water course taught me everything from the basics.

The instructors (Dennis, Anand, Nick) and dive masters (Nick, Dylan) really cared that we learned and got the “feel” of the skills that we needed for diving.

Special mention to Sage and Nick for taking the theory sessions. Everything was amazing! – via google

This summer I was lucky enough to spend ten days with a group of Argonaut divers on a liveaboard in Belize, and while there I completed Advanced Adventure Diver certification with instructor Kaitlin. I’d been open water certified for over a decade, but I had never truly gotten into diving and previously only had a dozen or so dives under my belt. Kaitlin was extremely thorough; she made sure I understood not only what I should be doing but also the why. She provided important constructive feedback after dives to make sure I continued to build my skills and gained confidence. Pro tip – she also made sure I brought reef safe leave-in conditioner with me so that my long hair didn’t turn to straw from all the salt water. By the end of the course and entire experience, I felt so much more comfortable underwater. As a bonus, with me on almost every dive were multiple Argonaut instructors: Fred, Erika, Nik, and Nidhi. Everyone was kind and helpful, made sure I adopted best practices while having fun. I cannot recommend Argonaut Diving enough. I don’t believe I would have experienced the same high level education with any other instructor group. – via google

After years of thinking about it, I finally got my scuba certification. Argonaut, a scuba school, not a dive shop, is totally focused on the diving experience and does a great job with their sizable and friendly staff.

My instructor Ryland Bryant was amazing. He was 100% engaged with our little group, always offering praise, encouragement and guidance. His teaching style is clear and concise, walking you through every exercise step by step, gently correcting any errors and omissions, and taking the time to make sure each of us was comfortable with what we were learning.

Huge thanks also to Assistant Instructor Jon Bowen who helped me with some one-on-one on the second day of open water to get my weights and buoyancy dialed in.

Argonaut Founder Fred Doner is the first person I spoke with when researching where I wanted to get my cert. Fred patiently and thoroughly answered all my questions, and never tried to upsell me with course add-ons. He was also a great instructor in our classroom sessions, very knowledgeable, funny, and engaging.

Another reason I chose Argonaut is that they are an SDI school. There’s lots of information on the web about the various dive agencies and how their certifications and training vary (and are in other ways pretty much the same).

I would definitely recommend Argonaut for dive instruction, and will be going back to them when it’s time for my Advanced Open Water! – via google
