We hiked up with Teja and had a really fun time even tho the Mt. Batur Top was cloudy. Will still recommend doing the tour even if it’s not super clear!

It’s a family run business so they also have a villa right at the trail (Volcano Side Bali) which was super convenient as we only had to get up at 03:30 to start the hike at 04:00. Teja brought a little breakfast for us.

You will get a flashlight, but I recommend to bring an own headlamp as the trail is hard and you need good vision – especially the gravel part.

On the way up and at the top you will meet street vendors who sell stuff if you need something.

Overall a good experience. – via google

We thoroughly enjoyed our Mount Batur early morning trek.
Kaus was extremely capable and we discussed many local topics as we ascended.
The climb takes around two hours and can be challenging in parts.
I recommend a reasonable level of fitness to fully enjoy the trip.
We arrived in darkness around 5am. Kaus assisted us with placing eggs in their shells in a little hole in the rocks. These were soon cooked and we then enjoyed egg sandwiches, great hot Bali coffee and bananas for dessert.
The sun slowly rose to the point where we all imbued with a wonderful light experience of
which we had not seen before. Exhilarating!
The trip down was easy and gave us a chance to further discuss local topics with Kaus.
In summary. Excellent value for money.
Great to interact with the local Balinese and enjoy their hospitality.
Thanks again Kaus for your knowledge and intelligent conversation. Your hard work and dedication to your people is most admirable.
Happy birthday for the day after we left the mountain.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Mount Batur early morning trek.

An exciting and awesome experience thanks to our nice and friendly guide. He brought eggs to cook on the hot steam coming out of the Vulcano. A breakfast with a view!
