Buyer beware, $350 on snorkel gear rental for two kids and for 4 days. If it were just for this, it would be 3-4 stars and lesson learned for next time, but the customer service of the lady behind the counter was severely lacking on several occasions and therefore drove our experience down to 1 star. – via

We did 2 trips in our 5 days while staying at Green Turtle Resort and they were both magical! From the knowledgeable crew to the gorgeous locations they took us to, there is just not enough space here to describe the hospitality, education and visual excellence. Mary, Brendal, Kyle and Logan are exceptional humans. You MUST take a trip with them to explore the islands. I recommend a beach BBQ with them and snorkeling. Make sure you ask Logan about her work to help save the reefs and the local wildlife! Know ya limits! – via

We did 3 trips with Brendals during our 10 day stay on Green Turtle Cay. We did 2 half day fishing trips for 6 and one full day adventure tour with our whole group of 12 where we snorkeled, fed stingrays, and ate on the beach. All 3 trips were excellent, and Brendal and his crew were professional and fun hosts. For both fishing trips, Brendal went the extra mile to ensure we caught plenty of fish. The snorkeling was some of the best we’d ever done. We had 4 kids with us, from ages 14 to 5, and it was an amazing experience for all of them, especially hand-feeding stingrays. The food on the adventure tour was great! I’d highly recommend Brendals for a fantastic and family-friendly experience. – via

Ok, Brendals is really a snorkeling center. If we were rating for snorkeling? 5 Stars. Diving? Not so much. Had dove with them on a single tank, snorkeling, feed the rays trip. This was ok. Had a 2 tank dive scheduled days in advance and the morning of the dive Mary canceled us. Blaming non existent weather issues.
On the single dive we did with them The DM did NOT do a dive brief till I asked for one. Didn’t mention that there’d be no safety stop due to the shallow depth around the boat.
Made us put our gear together In the dive shop 1st, then turned around and put the gear together AGAIN on the boat ten yards from the shop?
The whole staff just seemed burned out and less than happy.
Snorkeling? Great shop.
Scuba diving? Pick another shop. – via

Brendal’s is a very good dive shop. They are up and running, in a restored building (as of Dec 2020). They offer diving, island tours on boats, and everything in between. They fill tanks for $15, and a two-tank dive is $160/person. The reef around is pretty good.

Brendal is very friendly, and is working hard to support the business after the hurricane and after the COVID epidemic. Generally, Green Turtle is probably the friendliest and the most chill island in the Bahamas – highly recommend! – via
