My friends and I completed our first dive today!!!!
It was the most exciting thing I’ve done since arriving to Hawaii.
Really satisfied with the decision of completing it with Dive Ohau.

Our instructors, Colton and Aami were really helpful and guided us in doing our best. They were also assisted by Heather, Emmerald and Adam.

I 10/10 recommend going for a dive with them!!!! – via

Dive Oahu is professional, welcoming, and awesome. The rental gear, including BCD, wet suit, fins, and masks, were all clean and well maintained. Captain Adam was great, and Heather led great dives and was very patient with less experienced divers, and the whole crew was helpful and friendly. The entire experience was smooth, safe, and fun.

We dove a deep shipwreck and a shallow reef that were both very close to the harbor in Honolulu, and I had an absolute blast! – via

There are some parking spaces around Kewalo basin but I got a bus from near the zoo, which worked well. There were 4 of us qualified divers to 1 guide. They have trips for non-qualified and snorkellers too, there was plenty of room on the boat, which had included snacks, water and a loo. The kit was good and all set up ready. First dive was turtle canyon, in the good visibility we saw 9 turtles plus on the way back a spotted leopard ray. We also did Kewalo pipe and saw 3 more turtles and a large Crab. On both dives we also saw various fish of course, they lasted around 45 mins and had a max depth of about 15 metres. Beforehand I emailed a couple of times (big time difference from the UK) and didn’t get an answer, so bear that in mind. All the staff were good, I would go with them again. – via

Incredible dive under perfect conditions!! Lucky to see a pod of dolphins swimming around the boat just before we jumped in. Then during the wreck dive, I saw 3 sea turtles actively swimming with us along with many fish and eels. Thank you to our captain Adam, shiphand Emerald and my dive Master Omni! Took the turtle canyon trip with Adam, Heather and Sam. I cannot say enough good things about them and the trip!!!! They were all so kinda and accommodating, they made sure we were all safe and knew what to do! They really took the time to make each of us feel included. We saw so many turtles! Thank you dive Oahu and our crew for being so amazing! If we’re lucky enough to come back to Oahu we will definitely be seeing you again!!! If you’re considering any of the trips they offer, definitely go with them, you will make memories to last a lifetime! – via

A little bummed. The DM (nice girl) started the brief with “these will be about 30-minute dives, all come up together”…. Never heard this before in 35′ shallow dives, 30-minutes only. All certified divers here. We paid nearly the same amount as a private boat dive charter for the three of us, but got half the time under water. It seemed like they were trying to make up time for the boat coming in late earlier that morning (unsure, just seemed that way). Everyone came up with a lot of extra gas. — The crew were all nice, the DM was nice, just can’t recommended as a dive op at all, unfortunately. – via

bad service, an hour wasted waiting for the boat to leave, high price just for snorkeling, they took us along with the diving people and they charged the same, little time in the water and they were rushing like cows to get out of the water quickly, they don’t care about taking good care of the foreigners the guides were in their story and did not serve them well I do not recommend for foreigners!! – via

This was one of the best experiences that I’ve had here in hawaii. 10/10 recommend! The water is beautiful. The snorkeling was amazing, so many beautiful fish to be seen. And the staff was very friendly. – via

We booked a whole day plus additional as it saves some money but they are very unaccomidating in that the days have to be consecutive. My other issue is customer service, not consistent. The person I tried to talked to would only answer we open at 9 even to just answer a question. So had to wait in line for 20 minutes to get the same jerk to tell me I had no choice but to use my additional day that day. I say this as I picked the wrong person to talk to, the boss would talk to anyone who had a question. Lesson learned. Make sure you get ALL your questions answered before you commit to paying for anything – via

Thanks to Jessica who corrected a double billing, all is well. I originally booked two surfboard lessons but the next day cancelled one. It was inadvertently still charged. Jessica fixed the error. Many thanks!! BTW, the surfboard lesson was a great hit!!! – via
