I was packing for a trip to Mexico and discovered my snorkeling stuff had been stolen out of my garage. Ran over to Hollywood Divers, who could not have been more helpful. Offered me multiple good choices on all the things I needed, gave good advice, extremely friendly, straightforward and efficient. I was out of there in a half hour fully equipped, at a price I found surprisingly reasonable. Strongly recommend. – via

Great, friendly service! I called Hollywood Divers today, desperate for help troubleshooting my dive computer before I leave for a dive trip in 4 days in Southeast Asia. Mackenzie & Kam were both super friendly and helpful, and while they couldn’t help directly with such a short time frame, they connected me to a service repair shop in Calabasas (Glen with Pacific Scuba Repair– also incredible) that could. We came upon Hollywood Divers when our 17 year old son decided he wanted to get scuba certified. Having no experience ourselves, we walked in the shop one day with a million questions, and left feeling confident we couldn’t have found a better place. Hal, Joe and the team at Hollywood Divers have been nothing but helpful to our son throughout the whole process. They are all so kind, patient, encouraging, knowledgeable and informative. Something I find very special about a business is when you can tell that the employees are happy and sincerely interested in the needs of their customers and not just making a sale. This place is definitely one of those places that cares about their customers. They have spent so much time with our son, making sure he doesn’t just buy something but buys the right things. He has since gotten scuba certified and can’t wait until he turns 18 and can start joining some of the group dives. Thank you Hollywood Divers! – via

I’m a European dive master and interesting about underwater filming. I’m extremely happy, satisfied and lucky to found this store.
This shop is a must stop for divers!!!
Super professional, super helpful and super friendly crew.
I’m so lucky I can stay with this shop rest in my life.
Let them teach you and your kids to be a scuba diver and you won’t have gear or dive issue ever!!!

Literally the most helpful, informative dive shop in LA. They have been around forever and have a fantastic reputation but do not rest on their laurels. They will give you the time you deserve and take pride in their experience and knowledge. The shop is organized, staff are incredibly fun and friendly, the equipment is top notch. – via

I’ve been into Hollywood Divers a few times for masks & snorkels, and I 100% recommend this shop. The staff & owner are super helpful & assisted my wife & myself fitting & buying our first serious dive masks, and made sure we were fitted correctly & knew how to wear the masks for best comfort & seal. Really positive attitude around the shop, and all the staff are committed to making sure customers are properly equipped to enjoy diving. I’ll definitely be coming back for additional gear. – via

What an absolute pleasure to spend a little over an hour at Hollywood Divers this morning. Everyone on staff was super helpful and willing to share information and major props to Hal for helping me find the right wet suit, mask, fins, snorkel, and dive computer! I couldn’t ask for better service. While it’s possible to buy equipment online at a slight discount, I visited their store because I wanted more than just the gear, I wanted professional, experienced input before purchasing. Being able to speak with people who are active and avid divers, who are able to share their experience and recommendations, is well worth paying a little more money. Btw, when you walk in, you’re greeted, treated with respect, and you feel like family. I’m now looking forward to going on some of their dive tours around Catalina Island. Thank you Hollywood Divers!!!!!!! – via

Picked up a new semi dry suit today at a great price. Owner Hal is a wiz, and his staff – Jack, Kam, and Sal- bent over backwards grabbing me everything I asked for that I wanted to look at. I’m a 25+ yr diver and scuba instructor so believe me I’ve been in a lot of dive shops. Hollywood Divers won’t steer you wrong. – via

I needed some gears to get ready for my upcoming dive trip and this shop had the best reviews so I decided to come here. As I entered the store, I was greeted by Hal and he was able to help me out with everything: mask, fins, boots, dive light, snorkel, etc. He is super friendly, knowledgeable, and gave me a lot of tips and tricks to prep for my trip.

Just got back from my week long dive trip yesterday and let me tell you, all the gears that I bought fit me so well and worked great. Thank you Hal and will be back again for sure! – via

Hal, Joe and the team at Hollywood Divers are a fantastic group of knowledgeable and enthusiastic divers. From helping fit and choose a drysuit and training, to camera lights, regulator hoses, weekly gas fills or sourcing my other odd/specific requests, Hollywood Divers have given me dedicated and personal service every time I walk in. COVID-19 hit the dive shops really bad. If you’re thinking of picking up a hobby or getting new gear, come here first. Best deals due to COVID BUT I also say that because I want this shop to stick around. I’ve been to Pac Wild, Eco, etc. This place is a gem with all its great pricing.
