Really honest review here for the sunset cruise. Boat, drinks on boat, food on boat, staff on boat and slide on boat were all brilliant.
However Snorkelling activity wasn’t great. Literally got off the boat, put the gear on, and got into the water. Within 10 mins a whistle was blowing for us to come back. When i questioned the member of staff why we only had 10 mins and not the 1 hour which was stated, I was told “too many people in the water”.
Well im sorry but that sounds like a you problem to me. You’re allowed that many people on the boat and took us to that location. (Another boat was also snorkelling at the same time)
If your looking for a booze cruise, with music and good food and drinks, and watch the sun set. Book this. It was amazing!
If your looking to snorkel i recommend you look elsewhere as it a super rushed experience. – via google

This is a good year for water clarity, though the wind is starting to kick up this week. It’s been some of the best snorkeling. Lisa, Brian & Co. are very helpful.

Nice operation and personnel. Enzo was very knowledgeable and professional in helping me gain my Open Water certification. While the red tide crimped the aesthetics in the water, it looked to be improving. The fish life, which is modest but numerous in this area, on my last dive makes it worth it. – via google

I had a great experience snorkeling with ScubaCaribe and posted a review of that, but then I had a very bad experience in an attempt to wind surf. The guys at the beach acted like they did not at all want to help set up for this, even though otherwisethey were just sitting around on the beach. Nesto (or Ernesto), whose name I knew from snorkeling, would not even acknowledge me when I greeted him; he stood there stone-faced, looking right past me.
The guy who helped me in the water gave me instructions very rapidly in a thick accent that I found hard to follow. I told him I was hard of hearing, asking him to speak more slowly, but, when I asked him for clarification, he spoke even more rapidly. At one point he said, “Do you speak English?”, even though he knew that was my language. He was very short with me, even making fun.
In the end, although I have done this many times before with my own sailboards, I could not begin to sail because of the surf. Maybe they were right; maybe it was silly to try, but they weren’t doing other things, and at least, as customer-service workers, they could have been civil about it. – via google

We went on a two hour jet ski trip. The tour guides were awesome! We stopped immediately to see 2 turtles mating. After another 10 minutes, we stopped in a pod of dolphins. It was so cool, they were jumping out of the water right next to us. Then we also saw a lot of fish jumping out of the water as well. We stopped at a beach and our guide took us to see a couple of cool caves. I was telling the guide that we were having a great time Costa Rica, but the only thing we did not see were monkeys. We got back on our jet skis and the two hours was almost up, but they took a detour to another beach. When we got off, our guide led us to a tree with an abundance of white faced monkeys! They were swinging around in the tree and some people were feeding them bananas. They were so gently when taking the food from people’s hands. The highlight was a mom carry a baby monkey on her back. – via google

Our tour with Eddie was amazing. We spent time with a school of dolphins, explored an ancient cave, discovered howler monkeys on the beach, and even got to see a humpback whale. Eddie was gracious and hospitable and let us decide how long to make stops and stay to watch nature. This trip was safe and well planned; we had our teenagers on one jet ski and he made sure all were comfortable and safe. It was the best excursion of our trip to Guanacaste – via google

The snorkeling was okay. We saw a couple different types of fish. The instructor was really nice! Our problem was with the sales guy at RIU Palace. He sold us by saying it was a private tour for our family of 4 and that there would be 4 different snorkeling spots. He also stated we would snorkel for 1 1/2 hrs. Instead we visited one dive spot and we were only there for 1/2hr. Also we ended up snorkeling with a group of 10 people. Don’t fall for the sales pitch as it is almost all a big lie to up-sale you so he can get more commission!! Very dishonest and RIU should not tolerate this sales gimmick on their resort!! – via google

My son and I dived with scuba caribe at the Rui hotel in Guanacaste. I was already qualified and my son completed his OW. He had a fantastic instructor called Enzo. Great guy super knowledgeable.
Very tidy dive Centre nice equipment and beautiful location. Great place to dive no matter your experience level.
Only bad point was the dive master. That guy’s attitude was terrible. Hopefully they have got rid of him as he definitely dragged down the whole experience. – via google

My instructor Andre was a very good, relaxed and serious instructor. There was time for a laugh and we had a lot of fun, the diving was taken very seriously as it should be.

I virtually never leave reviews for anything, so if I do it is either exceptional or terrible. Exceptional in this case. I just did my Padi open water certification with ScubaCaribe Costa Rica Guanacaste ( at the Riu hotels) and it was an all round excellent experience. Keep reading below!

I did the pool training with Enzo and this was really thorough, clear and perfect preparation for the open water dives. Enzo was great at explaining everything and took all the time we needed to get it right and correct any issues.

I did my open water with Alejandro and this was a brilliant experience. My first dive was extremely challenging due to difficult water conditions, but Alejandro coached me through it and gave me all the encouragement I needed for the second dive. The remaining three dives were incredible. We worked through all the required tests and then did some amazing diving. Alejandro took the time to show me some really special marine life up close. We saw so much, I lost track of it all. Shark, turtle, sting rays, giant moray eels, seahorse, octopus.. just the ones I remember quickly!

I will be back with a GoPro for sure soon, Thanks to all at SC for a great experience – via google
