J’ai passé mon certificat PADI avec eux et me suis senti extrêmement bien encadré. Leurs instructeurs sont passionnés et compétents et le matériel de très bonne qualité. Les fonds marins sont incroyables en plus de ça. Durants les trois immersions, nous avons pu voir deux requins, une tortue, deux raies, des langoustes, des murènes et des milliers de poissons de toutes sortes. Merci à Lot et à David. – via

Our dive guide (Fer)Nando was amazing. We got to do three dives with him including two cenotes. He took his time to explain the differences between freshwater/cavern diving and encouraged us to improve our techniques. I did not know this but apparently lunch was included with our cenotes diving- the lunch was THE BEST part of our whole vacation. Again, Nando took his time to explain the local cuisine that we wouldn’t have experienced otherwise. Leo was our second guide- he encouraged us to explore around within safe distances instead of keeping us in a tight group as some guides prefer. The boat/equipments appeared to be in good condition in comparison to what I observed in other dive shops. My only complain is the communication after the reservation. After I made a payment and reservation, it was quite unclear where to show up given there were so many Scuba Caribe locations. At the end, it all worked out, but it would have been nice if there were clear instructions (could have been a language barrier issue). All in all, I would use this diving company again, especially with Nando. – via

Had a great time with these guys, especially Diane with which i did my very first dive. You don’t need any prior knowledge to participate in the half day course Discover Scuba Diving and enjoy the beauty of the underwater world. So to anyone hows interested i can just recommend to take the step and try out scuba diving. It was an awesome experience. Thinking about coming back to get my OWD certification! – via

We were in Playa Del Carmen in December and purchased a dive package for two at the Scuba Caribe. Unfortunately, a family issue come up and we had to leave unexpectedly, I spoke with Gilbert at the dive shop and he told me it was too late in the day to get a refund and I would need to contact Scuba Caribe. We departed the resort about 0630 am the next morning so I did not get to go back by. First, I was approached by a sales guy which talked me and my partner into jet skiing. We were charged around 1300 peso for 30 minutes.
Fast forward a few hours and we’re given a laminated page containing the details of where we can jet ski. Also on the back there is a statement that mentions a minimum $100 charge for capsizing the jet ski.
We get out onto the waves and just as we’re building up speed…. We capsize. We had literally been on the jet ski for about 1 minute, going by my go pro footage. Anyway, we failed to flip it back over and it took roughly around 1-2 minutes for the guys to bring us back to shore.
Next thing, we’re taken to the counter on the beach and were told that we now owe $300 since the jet ski now had to be drained which would render it out of service.
From my 1 minute jet skiing experience it is still unknown how it capsized, we were steady in the water and the next moment we were thrown off. And no I did not turn and make any sharp movements.
After voicing my frustration with the manager he agreed a $200 fine (4000 mxn peso)
My frustration here is the vague term that was mentioned on the laminated page that stated, minimum $100 charge in the event of capsizing the jet ski. By the time we got back to shore we owed 3x the amount of the rental.
My recommendation: if you’ve never been on a jet ski, and don’t want to run the risk of capsizing and getting charged an unknown amount with the minimum being $100, then I’d stay away and do some of the other activities they offer.
For those that are experienced then obviously this shouldn’t worry you.

Fantastic experience. Both Jorge and Danny did a great job as dive leaders. Water conditions were not the greatest due to a tropical system that had passed through the day before but the abundance and variety of sea life was amazing. – via
